    Hamza Wardere is the founder and CEO of Cleanport, where he leads the firm’s international development and advisory efforts. Born in Somalia and raised in the D.C. area, Hamza brings a dual-market perspective that enables Cleanport to bridge U.S. institutions with emerging-market governments and businesses. His background spans real estate, infrastructure, and cross-border dealmaking, with a focus on driving regulatory innovation, public-private partnerships, and diplomatic engagement across Africa and beyond.

    Charles Paret is a development strategist and Managing Partner at Cleanport, responsible for shaping cross-sector collaborations and growth initiatives. With over fourteen years of experience in real estate and transformational development—including urban revitalization, adaptive reuse, and hospitality innovations—he brings a multidisciplinary lens to international dealmaking and strategy. Charles applies his operational, financial, and design expertise to support Cleanport’s advisory work in emerging markets, facilitating public-private partnerships and sustainable infrastructure. Educated in manufacturing systems and business strategy, he also contributes to community advisory boards and regional development initiatives.

  • Senior Advisor: Global Public Policy

    Adam Falkoff brings more than two decades of experience in public policy, international relations, and strategic consulting. He has advised Fortune 100 CEOs, governmental leaders, and global institutions—providing elevated guidance on navigating complex regulatory environments and crafting high-impact partnerships. As President of his own global advisory firm, Adam specializes in bridging policy, investment, and cross-border strategy. In his role at Cleanport, he plays a pivotal role in designing regulatory frameworks, guiding institutional engagement, and enabling seamless government–private sector collaboration.

    Ms. Yoshino is a public-policy and blockchain leader. In 2021 she co-founded the Puerto Rico Blockchain Trade Association, launched CryptoCurious (free Spanish crypto education), hosted Puerto Rico Blockchain Week, and helped introduce a blockchain bill. She leads The Yoshino Group (government affairs, crisis management). Past roles include Senior Legislative Strategist at the D.C. Housing Authority (secured its first $50M capital line), Deputy Political Director at DAGA, and Legislative Director for both Councilmember Brandon Todd and the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (advanced 10 bills and major redevelopment deals). Mount Holyoke and Valparaiso Law; admitted in D.C. and Illinois.

  • Tommy Laurendine, P.E. is a veteran offshore structural engineer with 30+ years in oil, gas, and offshore wind. He is President of Hawk Technical Support, LLC (Slidell, LA), advising on structural design, risk, and compliance to API/ISO and BSEE standards. Earlier at Shell, Chevron, and McDermott, he led platform jackets/topsides work and subsea coordination. Recent projects include engineering advisory for Commonwealth Wind’s offshore substation and regulatory collaboration with DOI/BSEE. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of New Orleans, is a licensed Professional Engineer, publishes on fatigue/corrosion, mentors young engineers, and is active in ASCE and SPE.

    Rakesh Nangia is a global authority on development finance, capital structuring, and institutional risk. With over 30 years of leadership at the World Bank, IFC, and African Development Bank—where he served as Evaluator General—he brings unmatched experience in evaluating investments and enabling bankable growth across emerging markets. As a senior advisor to Cleanport, Rakesh supports government-facing initiatives, connects projects to multilateral finance channels, and designs credit frameworks that meet ESG and institutional standards. His insight bridges the gap between large-scale potential and executable, de-risked capital solutions.

  • Managing Director, Strategy & International Affairs

    Anthony Woodland is a strategist and operator focused on turning high-level vision into executable outcomes across borders. As Managing Director at Cleanport, he leads strategic positioning, government engagement, and deal execution in complex international environments. With a background in regulatory strategy, cross-border finance, and geopolitical navigation, Anthony helps bridge U.S. capital and institutional frameworks with opportunity-rich emerging markets. His work spans fintech, energy, infrastructure, and summit diplomacy—building the relationships and structures that move Cleanport initiatives from intent to impact.

  • K B Masum is an entrepreneur and real estate developer with over two decades of experience in finance, investments, and housing. He began his career at global institutions such as the Center for Policy Dialogue, Bangladesh Enterprise Institute, and the World Bank in Washington, D.C., and later earned his MBA in Marketing from Strayer University.

    Today, Masum focuses on creating impact across real estate, affordable housing, healthcare, fintech, and education. He is also a strategic partner with Cleanport Ventures, leading initiatives in Bangladesh and across broader Asian markets to connect international investors with sustainable development opportunities.scription
